Mabuhay, Philippines! The Kennel Klub Goes Global Once Again

The Kennel Klub just got a little bigger—and a lot more international!

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Gunther from the Philippines, our newest four-legged PolioPlus champion. With Gunther's arrival, the Rotary PolioPlus Society Kennel Klub is now proudly represented in 13 countries around the world, a remarkable reminder that the mission to end polio truly knows no borders.

Gunther's proud human is Rotarian Emmanuel (Noel) Hernandez, whose commitment to Rotary's fight against polio now includes his very special canine companion.

Every Kennel Klub member has a unique personality, and Gunther is certainly no exception.

While many dogs run for cover when fireworks light up the sky, Gunther absolutely loves them! Instead of hiding from the pops and booms, he enjoys watching the colorful displays—a trait that makes him one of the most unique members of the Klub. His fearless spirit and joyful personality are a perfect reflection of the optimism that drives Rotary's decades-long effort to eradicate polio.

From North America to Europe, Africa, Australia, and now the Philippines, our growing Kennel Klub family continues to prove that pets have an incredible way of bringing people together for a cause greater than themselves. Whether they bark, meow, bray, chirp, neigh, or swim, every member represents a Rotarian who has chosen to make a lasting impact in the fight against polio.

To Noel and Gunther, thank you for helping expand our global family and for standing with Rotary as we work toward a future where no child will ever have to suffer from polio again.

As Mollie likes to say, the Kennel Klub puts the FUN in fundraising—and thanks to members like Gunther, that fun is reaching every corner of the world.

Mabuhay, Gunther! Welcome to the Kennel Klub! 🐾
